I speak about agentic AI in production, cloud architecture at enterprise scale, and what large systems look like when they break.

Invite me to speakTopics & talks
I speak about agentic AI in production, cloud and serverless architecture, and operational excellence at enterprise scale. I cover the full depth of the stack - from hands-on engineering with TypeScript, Next.js, serverless backends, and CDK, to architecture decisions, to board-level strategy. Same content, calibrated from a 400-level workshop to a 15-minute executive briefing.

Agents Are Easy, Operations Are Hard: Running Agentic AI Like a Production System
Agent demos take an afternoon. Agent operations take an organization. This talk covers the gap between prototype and production for agentic AI workloads: observability for non-deterministic systems, failure modes and containment, cost control, and when to escalate to a human. Based on patterns observed across enterprise cloud environments.
-
What Breaks at Scale: Field Notes from Inside Large AWS Environments
Anonymized failure patterns and lessons learned from working with some of the largest cloud environments in the DACH region. What actually causes incidents at scale, which architectural decisions age badly, and what the organizations that recover fastest do differently.
-
Fullstack TypeScript on AWS: From Next.js to Serverless Without the Ops Tax
A 300-level walkthrough of running modern fullstack TypeScript applications on AWS serverless infrastructure: Next.js deployment patterns, serverless backends, infrastructure as code with CDK, and the cost and operational trade-offs nobody mentions in the quickstart. For teams who want product velocity without an ops team.
-
From Side Project to Production: Cost-Efficient Serverless Development
How to take a side project from localhost to a real production deployment without an ops team or a scary bill. Serverless building blocks that cost near nothing at low traffic, the architectural choices that keep it that way, and the trade-offs that only show up once people actually use the thing. For builders who ship.

Felix Gerberding is a Technical Account Manager at AWS, helping large enterprises in the DACH region run and scale their cloud workloads. He delivers technical workshops, executive briefings, and guest lectures weekly, and speaks about agentic AI in production, serverless architecture, and operational lessons from enterprise environments. Based in Potsdam, Germany; presents in German and English.
Long bio (150 words)
Felix Gerberding is a Technical Account Manager at Amazon Web Services, where he works with some of the largest enterprise customers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland on running, scaling, and de-risking their cloud workloads. His background spans software engineering, cloud architecture, and engineering leadership, including client-facing architecture roles prior to AWS, and he holds the AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification.
Presenting is part of Felix's weekly work: he regularly delivers technical deep-dive workshops for engineering teams, briefings for executive and management audiences, and guest talks at universities - and is equally at home in a 400-level architecture session and a board-level strategy discussion.
Felix's current focus is the operational reality of agentic AI: what it takes to run AI agents like production systems rather than demos - observability, failure containment, cost control, and human oversight. He combines hands-on technical depth with the pattern recognition that comes from seeing many large environments succeed and fail.
He recently appeared as a panelist on agentic AI at Venture Café Berlin and writes regularly about cloud and AI operations. Felix is based in Potsdam and speaks in German and English.
